Remco Evenepoel has added De Brabantse Pijl to his honorary list. After an acceleration by Wout van Aert on Moskesstraat, Evenepoel launched his attack on Holstheide. Only Van Aert and Blackmore were able to follow the Soudal Quick-Step rider. The Brit had to let the two Belgians go in the final local lap, after which Evenepoel beat Van Aert in the sprint on the Brusselsesteenweg.

Record holder
Until now, only one rider has managed to win De Brabantse Pijl four times: Edwig Van Hooydonck. As a 20-year-old, he first won the race in 1987 after a fine solo. At that time, Van Hooydonck was the youngest winner ever. The two-time Tour of Flanders winner would go on to add De Brabantse Pijl to his trophy cabinet a further 3 times, in 1991, 1993 and 1995. Three times on the Alsemberg, he produced a phenomenal power sprint, giving his rivals no chance.
